Candy Crush Saga Level 677 New updated tips and video

Hints and tips showing how to pass level 677 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie Tips and walkthrough video for this level. Even experts sometimes need help! I will post videos for every level and write tips where I think they are needed but otherwise please feel free to give your tips in the comments.
Level 677 Candy Crush Saga is classified as a hard level so you may lose some lives before you manage to pass it. This is an order level, you have to collect red candies to complete the level.
Some of the red candies are on the board but the rest will be provided by the lucky candies which drop down on the right side of the board.
First work your way down the board clearing the chocolate to give you more space to work. Once you have a bit more space you need to look for chances to make special candies and combos. If you have trouble mnaking these look at the relevant pages in this blog. Click on the links to see how to make Striped candy, wrapped candy and colourbombs.
Use the special candies best by switching together and the best candy to collect the red candies are wrapped candies, these will give two explosions which will change and collect the reds you need.

If the level you play is different from the one here it is because the developers have changed it since I played and I have no control over this. Please let me know on our FB group and I will try to change it.

Candy Crush Saga Level 677 NEW!

Level 677 has been updated on the 1st October and is now doable without boosters!
We now have 40 moves instead of 35 and one colour has been removed so making stripes is much easier.
The stripes still tend to self destruct as the conveyors bring around matching colours, but with careful planning you can now match up the stripes and complete the level within the moves provided.
Don't save combos once you have them side by side, even if it means losing another stripe by switching them, if you want to save them to get other candies in a better position be absolutely certain that they will not be lost if you don't switch them.
Level 677 is still a challenging level, but now also fun to play.
I found that making stripes in the middle of the board seemed to be the most effective method of completing the level, taking care to check the locked stripes to see if any were ready to match before each move.

Candy Crush Saga Level 677

How to pass level 677 Candy Crush Saga

We have been informed by King that this level will be changed with the next update, which will be within the next day or so.

The answer to the question of how to pass level 677 seems to be to use as many boosters as it takes!
One week after the release of this episode there is only one video on YT made without boosters.
I only know one or two people who have passed it without boosters so it seems level 677 is yet another level designed to make players buy boosters.
I found that the best way to get through this level was to almost ignore the stripes provided along the sides and work on making stripes in the center part of the board.
Just take a few seconds to check on whether the stripes were unlocked and move any candies off the conveyor that are likely to detonate them too early.
If you can get stripes onto the conveyor it may be possible to get them together that way.
If you do have boosters from the wheel I would suggest you save as many hands and lollies as you can. The hands are useful to move 2 stripes together and the lollies can do the same by knocking out a candy below.
One member of our FB group has suggested leaving the cream blockers and locked stripes until you have another stripe ready to match with them before unlocking.
But it seems to be just a case of playing very carefully so as not to inadvertantly ruin any combos you are setting up.
The video below is made without boosters.
